Local winds and low-pressure system affect Nepal’s weather

KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecast Division has stated that local winds in Nepal, combined with a low-pressure system around Uttar Pradesh, India, are impacting Nepal’s weather patterns.

According to the Division, the weather is partly to mostly clear in the hilly areas of the country, including Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, while the remaining areas are mostly clear.

This afternoon, the weather will remain partly cloudy to mostly clear in the hilly parts of the country.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and gale in a few places in the hilly areas of the country, including Bagmati, Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali, and a couple of places in the rest of the country.

There is a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of the country.

Tonight, light to moderate rain with thunder and gale is expected in a few places in Koshi Province.

Additionally, light rain with thunder and gale may occur in one or two places in Madhes and Sudurpaschim Pradesh, including the rest of the hilly areas.
