Home Ministry transfers six SSPs when IGP Kunwar is abroad

KATHMANDU: Ministry of Home Affairs has transferred six Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) while Inspector General Basanta Kunwar is abroad.

Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane has opted the senior police officials transfer at the time when the IGP is away from home.

IGP Kunwar has gone to France to attend a program organized by INTERPOL.

SSP Bhupendra Khatri of Kathmandu District Police Office has been transferred to the Crime Investigation Department.

Basant Rajurel has been appointed as the new Chief of Kathmandu.

SSP Somendra Singh Rathore from the Central Investigation Bureau has been transferred to the National Security Council and Sanuram Bhattarai has been appointed as his replacement at the Crime Investigation Office.

SSP Abhayanarayan Kafle from the Police Headquarters Training Directorate has also been transferred to the Training Directorate of Koshi Province.

SSP Rajan Adhikari, who was stationed in Koshi, has been brought to the Training Directorate at the Headquarters.
