State Affairs Committee summons Home Minister Lamichhane for discussion

KATHMANDU: The State Affairs and Good Governance Committee of the Legislature-Parliament has called Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane for discussions on the functioning of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Lamichhane is scheduled for Wednesday morning at 11 am.

According to the Committee’s secretariat, the meeting, to be held in the parliamentary committee’s office at Singha Durbar, will focus on contemporary issues related to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Nepali Congress leader Ramhari Khatiwada chairs this Committee, which has oversight over the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Secretary of the Committee, Suraj Kumar Dura, informed that the relevant minister would also be present to discuss matters related to the functioning of the ministry.

NC has been voicing for the resignation of Home Minister Lamichhane both in the parliament and other forums.
