CHITWAN: Narayan Prasad Dahal, the Chairperson of the National Assembly (NA), underscored the role of the NA in uniting the nation.

Addressing a program organized by the Bharatpur metropolis in honor of his recent appointment, Dahal highlighted the upper house’s responsibility in fostering collaboration among the three-tier governments and promoting national unity through legislative duties.

He pledged his commitment to this cause and expressed his hopes that his tenure would be instrumental in raising awareness among citizens about the rights and responsibilities conferred upon the NA by the Constitution.

“While the NA is often considered a secondary chamber to the House of Representatives, its true significance deserves more recognition. Mass awareness about the importance of the NA is crucial,” Dahal emphasized, promising to prioritize this aspect during his tenure.

Dahal also stressed the need for enacting numerous laws to uphold the Constitution, pledging to utilize his term to urge the government towards this endeavor.
