KATHMANDU: Nepal has set a formidable target of 199 runs for Ireland Wolves in the second T20 match held at the Tribhuvan International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Tuesday.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Nepal showcased a strong batting display, amassing a total of 198 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Gulsan Jha emerged as the top scorer for Nepal, contributing 47 runs to the team’s total, while Rohit Poudel and Kushal Malla provided crucial support with 33 and 34 runs, respectively.
Additionally, Kushal Bhurtel, Aasif Sheikh, and Sandeep Jora contributed 25, 11, and 21 runs respectively to bolster Nepal’s innings.
On the bowling front, MT Foster proved to be the most effective for Ireland Wolves, claiming three wickets, while B White secured two wickets.
Furthermore, F Hand and G Hoey each took one wicket to limit Nepal’s scoring opportunities.
In the previous encounter between the two teams on Monday, Nepal clinched a convincing victory by defeating Ireland Wolves by six wickets.
