Five Bangladeshi nationals apprehended for visa overstay in Nepal



KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office has disclosed the arrest of five Bangladeshi nationals found to be residing unlawfully in Nepal beyond the expiration of their visa.

The individuals identified as Md Rifat Ahamed (26), Md Abdullah (23), Md Samsual Hoda (45), Abdul Biswas (30), and Md Masum Miah (36) were apprehended from Sohrakhutte based on information suggesting their involvement in suspicious activities.

Superintendent of Police Nakul Pokharel, Information Officer at the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, confirmed the arrests and emphasized the seriousness of overstaying visa terms.

Abdul Biswas and Md Masum Miah were apprehended on March 22, while the remaining three were detained on Monday.

The arrested individuals have been handed over to the Department of Immigration, Kalikasthan, for further investigation and appropriate action.
