Foreign Minister Shrestha to meet with Chinese counterpart Yi today



KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, currently on a week-long visit to China, is scheduled to hold a meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, on Tuesday.

During his visit, Minister Shrestha met with Wang Huning, Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau, on Monday, as per the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In today’s meeting, the two leaders, Shrestha and Yi, will discuss the implementation of the 12-point agreement reached between the two countries during Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s visit to Beijing.

Chinese Foreign Minister Yi will host a dinner for the Nepali delegation this evening.

Prior to this meeting, Minister Shrestha also visited the Huawei Research and Development Executive Exhibition Center.
