KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) resumed its session after being adjourned due to CPN-UML’s disruptions, with Speaker Devraj Ghimire ruling the government to address the concerns raised by opposition parties in the upcoming meeting.

The initial session saw the main opposition, CPN-UML, demanding the resignation of controversial ministers.

Despite the Speaker’s repeated directives, the government’s lack of response prompted UML parliamentarians to raise slogans, leading to the adjournment of the parliamentary meeting.

The opposition, particularly targeting Physical Infrastructure Minister Prakash Jwala, who was implicated in the Balkumari incident according to the inquiry commission, insists on his resignation.

Furthermore, UML also cast doubt on Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha, Tourism Minister Sudan Kiranti, and Health Minister Mohan Basnet.

Minister Basnet furnished a statement to the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) in the Termox case.
