Chitralekha Yadav appointed as Ambassador to Australia



KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel has appointed Chitralekha Yadav as the Nepali Resident Ambassador to Australia.

The appointment was made on the recommendation of the Government of Nepal and the Council of Ministers.

Yadav previously served as the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) and held a ministerial position in the Cabinet.

Shailaja Regmi Bhattarai, Spokesperson at the Office of the President, announced that the appointment is in accordance with Article 282 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal (2072 BS).
