Nepal Police Club secures 3-0 victory in ANFA Women’s League

KATHMANDU: Nepal Police Club triumphed over Karnali Pradesh with a 3-0 win in the ongoing ANFA Women’s League football tournament, held in the capital on Wednesday.

The match, played at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato, saw Police dominate the game, with goals from Nirmala Upadhyay in the 43rd minute, Manisha Raut in the 54th minute, and Samjhana Lavati sealing the victory in the 82nd minute.

Despite the win, Nepal Police Club remains in third place on the league table with 18 points from 8 matches. Karnali Pradesh, on the other hand, sits in ninth position with just 4 points from the same number of matches.

The tournament, organized by the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), features 10 teams battling for the title. According to ANFA, upcoming matches will see Chandrapur Municipality face Walling Municipality in the first game, followed by a match between Koshi Province and Sudurpaschim.
