KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecast Division has stated that monsoon conditions are currently affecting the country.

A monsoon low-pressure line is situated south of its normal position, and there is a partial influence from a low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal.

The Division has noted that there is a partial to general cloud cover across the country.

Light to moderate rain with lightning is already occurring in areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and a few locations in Sudurpaschim Province.

This afternoon, the Division has anticipated a general change in weather.

Light to moderate rain, accompanied by lightning, is likely in various provinces.

Additionally, heavy rain is possible in one or two areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The Division has warned of potential windstorms in some regions of the Terai.

Tonight, the weather is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy.

Light to moderate rain with lightning may occur in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with a few areas in the remaining provinces also affected.

Heavy rain is anticipated in isolated locations within Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Over the next 24 hours, light to heavy rainfall is expected across various parts of the country.
