ICC World Cup: Nepal shares points with Oman due to rain

KATHMANDU: Nepal and Oman shared the points in the ICC World Cricket League 2 after rain prevented the match on Tuesday.

With this draw, Nepal remains seventh in the standings, having earned three points. Oman sits in sixth place, while the UAE occupies the bottom spot.

In a notable match, the USA defeated the UAE by 134 runs, successfully chasing a daunting target of 340 runs.

The UAE was restricted to just 203 runs. This victory has bolstered the USA’s chances of advancing to the Super Four of the league.

Currently, the USA stands in second place with 12 points from 8 matches, level on points with the Netherlands, which also has 12 points but maintains the top position.

In the first match of the triangular one-day series, Nepal lost to Canada by 103 runs.

In the second match, Nepal conceded defeat by Oman by one wicket and in the third match, another defeat to Canada by five wickets.
