NEPSE falls 2.68% to 2,894.57



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index dropped by 2.68% today (Sunday), closing at 2,894.57 points, which is a decrease of 79.88 points from the previous session.

In contrast, the last session had a slight increase of 6.01 points, finishing at 2,974.46 points.

Today’s trading session saw the index start at 2,987.06 points and fluctuate considerably, peaking at 2,990.04 points and hitting a low of 2,885.39 points before closing.

There was significant trading activity with 333 stocks traded through 218,578 transactions, involving 42,686,640 shares and generating a turnover of Rs. 19.74 billion.

The market capitalization reached Rs. 4.59 trillion, and the float market capitalization was Rs. 1.62 trillion.

Notably, the microfinance sector saw the highest gains.
