KATHMANDU: The launch of the iPhone 16 Pro is just around the corner, with Apple set to unveil its new lineup at their annual event, likely on the second week of September.

The iPhone 16 Pro series will feature larger screens this year.

While the standard iPhone 16 and 16 Plus remain the same size as their predecessors, the Pro and Pro Max models will see an increase in display size.

It will also sport a 6.3-inch screen, up from the 6.1-inch display on the 15 Pro.

Reports said the iPhone 16 Pro Max will come with a 6.9-inch display, growing from the 6.7-inch screen on the 15 Pro Max.

Despite the modest size increments, past display upgrades have been well received by users.

According to reports, the A18 chip will be featured across all iPhone 16 models, but the Pro versions will receive the enhanced A18 Pro.

This chip will deliver better CPU and GPU performance, with a notable focus on an improved Neural Engine, which should enhance AI capabilities and ensure future-proofing.

This year, the iPhone 16 Pro will offer a refreshed color palette.

The existing Blue Titanium will be replaced by a bronze-like ‘Desert Titanium,’ potentially with rose accents.

Black Titanium will become darker, resembling a Midnight finish, and the Natural and White Titanium colors will be updated as well.

The iPhone 16 Pro will also feature an additional physical button, known as the ‘Capture’ button, designed to enhance camera functionality.

Located on the right side of the device, below the Side button, it will allow users to quickly take photos and may include features for zooming and focusing.

Meanwhile, the Ultra Wide camera on the iPhone 16 Pro will be upgraded to 48MP from the 12MP sensor on the current model.

It will also offer 5x optical zoom, a feature previously exclusive to the Pro Max.

This means both the Pro and Pro Max models will have the same advanced zoom capabilities and that the main camera will benefit from a new sensor designed to improve low light photography, with Apple expected to showcase enhanced night mode capabilities.

According to Apple, both the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will feature larger batteries (iPhone 16 Pro: 3,577mAh, up from 3,274mAh in the 15 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max: 4,676mAh, up from 4,422mAh in the 15 Pro Max).
