RASUWA: Pilgrims heading towards Kailash Manasarovar have been stranded after rainfall damaged road towards China side.

Chief District Officer of Rasuwa, Bed Nidhi Khanal, said the flood in Kerung rivulet, five kilometer towards north China from Miteri bridge of Rasuwagadhi, encroached highway, resulting the vehicular movement disruption.

Around 500 pilgrims on their way to Nepal after visiting Kailash Manasarovar have been stranded at Kerung and around 100 pilgrims heading towards Kailash Manasarovar at Rasuwagadhi following the disruption of transport service.

Nepal Police and APF 20 no Company, Rasuwa, have been coordinating to support stranded pilgrims, he shared.

Kerung Administration has been requested to take initiatives to resume the vehicular movement and facilitate the pilgrims heading towards Kailash Manasarovar, added Khanal.
