Health Minister Paudel assures hand over of Saurya Airlines crash victims’ bodies by Friday evening



KATHMANDU: Minister for Health and Population, Pradeep Paudel, expressed his condolences over the Saurya Airlines plane crash, which claimed the lives of 18 people on Wednesday.

During a visit to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital today, Minister Paudel was briefed on the status of the postmortem examinations.

Minister Paudel paid tribute to the victims of the crash and urged the hospital administration to expedite the process of handing over the bodies to the families after identification.

He stated, “The hospital has assured that all bodies whose identities have been confirmed will be handed over to their families by tomorrow evening. Please ensure a smooth process.”

He also extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.

The tragic incident occurred when the plane, with the call sign 9N-AME, skidded off the runway and fell into a ditch while attempting to take off from Tribhuvan International Airport for Pokhara on Wednesday morning.
