KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has reaffirmed Nepal’s firm stance that Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh, and Kalapani are integral parts of Nepal.
Responding to queries in the House of Representatives (HoR), Prime Minister Dahal emphasized that the government is unequivocal in its position regarding these territories.
“According to the Sugauli Treaty (1816), Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh, and Kalapani, situated to the east of the Mahakali River, belong to Nepal. There is no doubt about this,” stated PM Dahal.
Additionally, PM Dahal confirmed ongoing dialogues with the Indian government to resolve border disputes, including agreements dating back to the 1950 treaty.
“I have discussed the border disputes with the Indian Prime Minister during my recent visit to India. India has expressed readiness to resolve these issues,” added PM Dahal.
