CPN-UML issues whip to lawmakers to vote for budget



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML, a key coalition member in the Dahal-led government, has issued a whip to its lawmakers, directing them to vote for the budget for the fiscal year 2024/25.

A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is scheduled for 11 AM today, where the government aims to pass the budget.

The party has also mandated that all its lawmakers be present during the session.

The parliament has been deliberating on the budget over the past few sessions.
