Govt blacklists 19 construction companies

KATHMANDU: The Public Procurement Monitoring Office, operating under the Prime Minister’s Office, has placed 19 construction companies from various districts on its blacklist.

According to a notification issued today (Tuesday), these companies have been penalized for delays in their construction projects.

The notice specifies that the duration of blacklisting ranges from six months to two years, as recommended by multiple agencies due to chronic delays in project completion.

The black listed companies include Amar-Udaya Sagar JV, Kalimati; Uday Sagar Nirman Sewa, Kailali; Shree Shobha Builders and Supppliers (P) Ltd, Bhaktapur; Shree Western Development Construction, Bajura; Shree Suprabhat Nirman Sewa, Banke; Shree Samridhi Yeshaswo Construction, New Baneswor; Shree Deuto Construction P. Ltd, Surkhet; Shree Rajdhani Construction Sinamangal, Kathmandu; and Shree New Kalika Nirman Sewa, Bajhang.

Similarly, other companies include, Shree Yusab Construction, Dadeldhura; Shree Bhuma Nirman Sewa, Dang; Shree Tulso Construction and Suppliers, Doti; and Aattreya Nirman Sewa (P) Ltd, Sindhuli; Shivako Construction P. Ltd, Kathmandu; Basnet Nirman Sewa, Kathmandu; and Budhathoki Construction P> Ltd, Salyan.

Other blacklisted construction companies include Shree Bibhor Nirman Sewa, Doti; Shree MD Bro Construction Pvt. Ltd., Ilam; Nepal Bhumi Construction Pvt. Ltd, Kathmandu; and Shree Manyata Nirman Sewa Ptv. Ltd., Surkhet.
