Monsoon spreads across Nepal

KATHMANDU: The monsoon weather system has enveloped the entire country Today (Monday), from Monday afternoon, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

The Division noted that this year’s monsoon has reached all seven provinces of Nepal.

The monsoon arrived this year on June 10, three days earlier than the average date, starting from the eastern region of Koshi Province.

By June 20, after 10 days, it covered Koshi Province, Madhes Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, and the eastern part of Lumbini Province.

The spread of the monsoon across the country this year took 15 days from its onset.

The weather across Nepal is partly to mostly cloudy, with reports of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali states.
