Budget will be presented and passed through due process: Minister Aryal

KATHMANDU: Minister for Labor and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Vice President Dol Prasad Aryal has asserted that the budget will be passed through the due process.

Speaking to Khabarhub on Saturday, Aryal expressed confidence that an agreement with the Nepali Congress (NC) would be reached by Sunday.

“An agreement will be reached by tomorrow. The budget will come through the proper process. Our colleagues are engaged in discussions at various stages to reach a consensus,” he said.

Since March 13, the NC has been demanding the formation of a parliamentary committee to investigate Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane, who is implicated in a cooperative scam.

However, RSP Chair and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane has refused to allow the formation of a committee making him a subject for investigation.

Meanwhile, the NC has maintained that the parliament will not function until an investigation is conducted into the cooperative scam involving the Home Minister.
