NEPSE records double-digit decline on Monday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) experienced a double-digit decline, marking the first trading day of the week on Monday.

Following the public holiday for the Holi festival, the stock market remained closed on Sunday.

The NEPSE index witnessed a decrease of 17.01 points, closing at 2031.55 points today.

Between 11 am and 3 pm, transactions involving 7,061,012 shares were conducted, totaling Rs 2,489,118,485.

While the share prices of 37 companies saw an increase, those of 204 companies experienced a decline, with the prices of the remaining three companies remaining stable.

Among the sub-groups, only shares from the Hotel and Tourism, Production and Processing, and Mutual Fund sectors were in the green, while the others were in the red.
