PARBAT: Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Padma Giri has indicated that the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Bill has reached at its final stage.

Addressing a public dialogue program organized in Parbat on Monday, Minister Giri mentioned that the Bill will soon be finalized.

He provided information that although there is agreement on many points, discussions are ongoing on some remaining issues.

Minister Giri stated, “There have been extensive discussions among leaders of various political parties on the bill, and there have been ongoing deliberations in parliamentary committees as well. While there is agreement on most points, further discussions are being held on some issues before the bill is finalized.”

He also informed that parties have agreed to bring the Bill forward to provide justice to the victims.

Giri emphasized that the Bill would not be delayed in parliament’s presentation in its final stage.
