Kathmandu expected to receive rainfall in the afternoon

KATHMANDU: In line with the rest of the country, Kathmandu Valley’s weather is undergoing partial changes this Monday morning.

The sky is partly cloudy, indicating that 26 to 50 percent of it is covered by clouds.

The Weather Forecast Division has forecasted a potential for rain in Kathmandu Valley post-noon.

There’s a chance of scattered to light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning, according to the Division.

Over the past 24 hours, Kathmandu Valley has experienced 5.6 mm of rainfall, as reported by the Division.

While mornings might continue to be clear for a few more days, the Division warned of potential changes, such as increased cloud cover, as the day progresses.

With the alteration in weather patterns and the onset of rain, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley has drastically decreased.

According to the Division, the temperature plummeted to 7 degrees Celsius at 6:45 am today (Monday), a significant drop from Sunday’s minimum of 13.6 degrees Celsius.

Furthermore, the Division has predicted that the maximum temperature in the Valley could range between 22 to 24 degrees Celsius today, down from Sunday’s peak of 26.0 degrees Celsius.
