NEPSE witnesses double-digit decline on Sunday



KATHMANDU: On the first trading day of the week, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has witnessed a decline of double digits.

On Monday, the market dropped by 26.81 points, settling at 1,979.02.

The continuous decline in the stock market has triggered a negative circuit in two companies.

Today, the NEPSE reported a transaction of 8,546,930 shares of 317 companies, resulting in a turnover of RS 3.08 billion.

The decline in the market has affected adversely to 11 sub-indices.

Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited has dominated in terms of trading volume, conducting business worth Rs 251.8 million.

During the market decline, Bottlers Nepal (Balaju) Limited’s share price has hit the positive circuit. Conversely, Samaj Microfinance and Molung Hydropower experienced a negative circuit in their share prices.

Similarly, Samling Power Company, Balefi Hydropower, and Joshi Hydropower have experienced a decline in share prices by 9.56%, 9.21%, and 7.77%, respectively.
