Abduction charges filed against woman accused of stealing infant from Paropakar Maternity Hospital



KATHMANDU: Legal action has been taken against Man Kumari Singh, who stands accused of abducting an infant from Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital.

Singh, 24, originally from Namune Rural Municipality-1 and currently residing in Kandaghari, Kathmandu, allegedly abducted a 26-day-old baby belonging to Sabina Shrestha from the hospital premises.

Following the abduction, Singh was apprehended in possession of the infant in Kandaghari, Kathmandu.

If found guilty, Singh could face a prison sentence ranging from seven to 10 years, along with a fine of up to Rs 100,000.
