KATHMANDU: Helambu Rural Municipality, nestled in the Himalayan region, witnessed the first snowfall of the season as temperatures across the country dipped.

Tika Ram Limbu, the vice principal at Shree Melamchi Ghyang Secondary School, reported that the snowfall commenced on Wednesday afternoon, transforming the picturesque villages of Melamchi Ghyang, Tarke Ghyang, and others into a winter wonderland with a blanket of snow measuring a few inches.
