Durga Prasai discharged from Bir Hospital following arrest



KATHMANDU: Durga Prasai, a controversial medical entrepreneur, has been discharged from Bir Hospital where he was admitted following health issues after his arrest.

Prasai, who was reportedly suffering from high blood pressure, was taken to the hospital on the day of his arrest.

Authorities are now making arrangements to transfer him to the custody of the police circle at Singha Durbar.

Prasai was arrested from his residence on Sunday afternoon based on a complaint filed by Jwala Sangraula, a central member of the Rastriya Swatantra Party.

The police has obtained court permission to detain him for three days following his arrest.

Further developments are expected as the investigation continues.
