KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called on citizens to place their trust in the government and support its efforts towards national development.

In a response to questions from youths at the ‘Kathmandu Youth Conclave 2024’, PM Oli emphasized that the current government was committed to effecting meaningful changes.

He stressed that the country’s development would not progress without active youth engagement, highlighting the crucial role of young people in nation-building.

The Prime Minister expressed confidence that Nepali migrant workers would return home if a favorable environment is established in the country.

He outlined his government’s initiatives to create employment opportunities and enhance educational prospects for youth, including plans to support startups.

Additionally, PM Oli addressed concerns about social issues, stating that spreading vulgarity and social discord is not feasible in Nepal’s orderly society, which is rich in unique arts, culture, and civilization.

He emphasized the importance of fostering love and unity, rather than hatred.

In his address at a special program organized by the CPN (UML) Jhapa-Kathmandu Liaison Forum for the Teej festival, PM Oli highlighted how the festival strengthens bonds between brothers and sisters and reinforces the social fabric of Nepalese society.

The event was also attended by Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal, Chief Minister of Koshi Province Hikmat Karki, and other dignitaries.
