Four arrested in Jhapa gang rape case; two suspects still at large



KATHMANDU: Four individuals have been arrested on charges of gang-raping a 16-year-old girl in Arjun Dhara-5 of Jhapa district.

The victim was assaulted by four youths.

Following her statement, police have apprehended Sunil Rajbanshi, Keshav Kumar Magar, Saroj Rai, and Anish Limbu, all from Arjun Dhara-7.

Authorities are still searching for two additional suspects.

According to the victim’s family, the girl was initially taken from her home for sightseeing by two of the accused.

They then transported her to a hotel where the other two suspects were waiting.

The girl reported that she was raped throughout the night.

The next morning, Sunil Rajbanshi, one of the arrested suspects, dropped her near her house.

The investigation is ongoing, and efforts to locate the remaining suspects continue.
