Former ward Chair Arvind Kumar Yadav killed in road accident

SARLAHI: Arvind Kumar Yadav, 43, former ward chair of Ward No. 4 of Kavilasi Municipality in Sarlahi, was killed in a road accident last night.

According to the police, the accident occurred when Yadav’s motorcycle (Pra. 2-03-020 Pa 3245) collided with a bicycle at Kisanpur Chowk in Barhathwa Municipality-10.

Chief Superintendent of Police Rabindra Bahadur Singh reported that Yadav was traveling from Piparia to Barhathwa when the accident took place at around 9:30 PM.

Yadav died instantly at the scene.

The identity of the cyclist remains unknown, as they reportedly fled the scene after the accident.

Police have stated that an investigation is ongoing.

Yadav was a member of the CPN (UML) district committee and had been elected as ward chair representing the UML in the 2074 BS local level elections.
