KATHMANDU: In the wake of the tragic bus accident that occurred on Friday in Ainpahara, Anbu Khaireni Rural Municipality-2, Tanahun, along the Prithviraj Highway, an Indian government official is set to visit Nepal to meet the injured and assist with the repatriation of the deceased.
The accident, involving a bus carrying Indian tourists, resulted in the confirmed deaths of 27 passengers.
Raksha Khadse, the Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports of India, will arrive in Nepal to visit the injured survivors and oversee the collection of the bodies of the deceased.
Minister Khadse’s first stop will be at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj, where 16 injured Indian nationals are currently receiving treatment.
Additionally, three others who sustained minor injuries in the accident are being housed in a guest house arranged in collaboration with the Indian Embassy.
