Light to moderate rain expected across Nepal due to active monsoon



KATHMANDU: The weather across Nepal is currently partly to generally cloudy, with light to moderate rain occurring in some areas of Bagmati Province, a few locations in Madhesh Province, and isolated spots in other provinces.

Later this afternoon, there is a likelihood of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in various parts of all provinces.

Heavy rainfall is also possible in one or two locations within Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, these weather conditions are due to the continued influence of active monsoon winds across the country.

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy nationwide, with the possibility of light to moderate rain in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and in a few locations in other provinces.

The Division also forecasts a likelihood of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in various parts of all provinces over the next 24 hours.
