Heavy rain expected over the next three days



KATHMANDU: Currently, the monsoon system is impacting Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces along with the eastern part of Lumbini Province.

Additionally, local air influence is partially affecting other provinces across the country, as reported by the Weather Forecast Division.

In these provinces, there is a mix of partial to normal weather conditions.

Some areas in Koshi, Bagmati, and Karnali are experiencing light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning, while a few places in Gandaki and Lumbini are also receiving similar weather patterns.

This afternoon, the Division has anticipated partly to mostly cloudy skies nationwide.

There will be light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as isolated areas in Madhes, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Furthermore, heavy rain is likely in one or two locations in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces later today.

Tonight, the weather will remain partly to mostly cloudy across the country.

There’s a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in several places within Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, along with isolated spots in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Additionally, heavy rain may occur in one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces during the night, according to the bulletin issued by the Division on Monday morning.
