KATHMANDU: Sun Weidong, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of China, is arriving in Nepal today (Monday).
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he will participate in the 16th meeting of the Nepal-China Diplomatic Consultative Mechanism during his three-day official visit, scheduled for June 25 in Kathmandu.
Leading the Nepalese delegation in the consultative mechanism meeting will be Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal, accompanied by senior officials from various ministries.
The discussions will focus on bilateral relations between Nepal and China, as well as areas of cooperation, the ministry confirmed.
During his visit, Vice Foreign Minister Sun is also slated to hold separate courtesy meetings with President Ram Chandra Paudel and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.
He is departing to China on June 26.
