KATHMANDU: Kailash Sirohiya, Chairman of Kantipur Media Group (KMG), is set to be taken to the Dhanusha District Court on Friday for an extension of his custody remand.

Sirohiya was previously arrested in connection with a dual citizenship issue on Tuesday.

Following his arrest, he was held at the Dhanusha Police Office, with the court permitting the police to remand him in custody for three days starting Wednesday.

According to the police, Sirohiya will be presented at the court at 10:30 AM this morning for an extension of his custody.

“The investigation against Sirohiya has not been completed, so we are seeking permission to hold him in custody for some more days,” said Ranjan Aawa, spokesperson for the District Police Office.
