Three killed in bike-jeep collision in Jhapa

DAMAK: Three people lost their lives in a collision between a Bolero jeep and a motorcycle on the Shivasatashi-Jhiljhile section of the East-West Highway on Wednesday.

According to the District Police Office, Jhapa, the victims, identified as 26-year-old Mausam Rai, 25-year-old Yunis Bhandari, and 17-year-old Saroj Regmi, succumbed to their injuries following the collision with the Bolero vehicle this morning.

All three deceased individuals were residents of Kamal Rural Municipality-4 in Amaldangi.

Despite efforts to rush them to B&C Hospital, Birtamod, for medical treatment, they tragically passed away en route.

Krishna Kumar Chand, spokesperson for the Jhapa police, stated that the driver of the Bolero jeep has been apprehended by the Area Police Office, Jhiljile, which has initiated an investigation into the incident.
