KATHMANDU: Wednesday saw a slight uptick in the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), with trading valued at over 2.53 billion rupees.
The NEPSE index inched up by 0.15 points, reaching 1979.17 points.
Across various sectors, shares witnessed a decline, except for banking, financial, manufacturing, and development sectors.
Notably, the insurance group shares experienced a significant fall.
Today, Pokhara Finance Company’s shares surged by ten percent, contrasting with the overall market trend.
Despite the general market increase, shares of Mai Khola Hydropower Company experienced the most significant decrease, dropping by more than 7.5 percent.
Trading activity saw a total volume of 7,284,000 shares from 313 companies, amounting to over 2.53 billion rupees.
During the day, the share price of 113 companies increased, while 117 decreased, and 15 remained stable.
