Fire at wedding house in Sarlahi results in Rs 600,000 loss and injuries



SARLAHI: A fire engulfed a wedding house in Balara municipality-6, Mirzapur of Sarlahi district, causing damages estimated at Rs 600,000.

The incident also resulted in injuries to two individuals.

The house, belonging to Ram Chandra Mahato, a resident of Mirzapur, caught fire last night, as confirmed by District Police Spokesperson Deepak Shrestha.

Wedding materials worth Rs 600,000 were destroyed in the blaze.

Reports suggest that a short circuit triggered the fire.

Two individuals sustained burn injuries while attempting to salvage wedding goods and materials from the house.

Both injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at a local health facility.
