PM Dahal assures special allocation for Madhes in upcoming budget

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has declared that a special allocation will be made for the Madhes region in the upcoming fiscal year’s policy, program, and budget.

During the foundation stone laying ceremony for a bridge connecting Sabaila Municipality-4 of Dhanusha to Kalyanpur Municipality-5 of Siraha, Prime Minister Dahal reaffirmed the government’s commitment to promoting agricultural technology, enhancing irrigation facilities, and providing chemical fertilizers and seeds in the Tarai region.

The PM’s Secretariat reported that the government is earnestly striving to achieve self-sufficiency in food production.

Emphasizing the importance of large-scale infrastructure projects in transforming the country’s economy, Prime Minister Dahal underscored the government’s dedication to advancing initiatives like the Budhigandaki and Karnali Chisapani projects without delay.

“Dalit of the country is not possible without the development of Madhes. The country’s prosperity is impossible until the people of Madhes become prosperous,” he emphasized.

PM Dahal expressed confidence that the construction of the bridge would significantly benefit the residents of Siraha and Dhanusha, pledging to improve the living standards of the area’s populace.
