PM Dahal inaugurates suspension bridge over Kamala River in Dhanusa



DHANUSHA, Feb 24: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ inaugurated a newly constructed suspension bridge spanning the Kamala river.

The Kathal-Malhania suspension bridge links Malhania in Siraha Municipality-13 to Kathal of Janakandini Rural Municipality-6.

Constructed at a cost of approximately Rs. 288.5 million, the bridge boasts a load-bearing capacity of 540 metric tons.

In light of the inauguration, local authorities have issued a plea to all users, urging them to refrain from speeding heavy-loaded vehicles such as tempos across the bridge.

Additionally, they are advised against dragging bicycles and motorcycles while crossing the river.
