Child missing from Paropakar Hospital found in Kandaghari Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: A child reported missing from Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital has been located in Kandaghari, Kathmandu, according to sources from the Kathmandu District Police Range.

The police have taken the woman, who was involved in the incident, into custody.

The recovery of the child was facilitated through CCTV footage, where a masked woman can be seen carrying the 26-day-old baby.

The distressed mother, hailing from Kavre and undergoing treatment at Paropakar Hospital in Thapathali, lost her child on Friday.

In an alarming incident on Friday afternoon, an unidentified woman took the infant from the maternity hospital.

Despite the police successfully apprehending the suspect and rescuing the child, her identity remains undisclosed.

Investigations are underway to determine the motive behind the incident and any potential connections the woman may have had with the child or the family.
