Nepal faces early setback in U19 Cricket World Cup clash against Pakistan: Loses key wickets in initial 10 overs

KATHMANDU: In the highly anticipated group stage encounter between Nepal and Pakistan at the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup, Nepal encountered an early setback, losing two crucial wickets within the initial 10 overs of the match.

The star batsman of the Nepali squad, Akash Triphati, was dismissed after scoring a mere six runs.

Similarly, opening batsman Arjun Kumal managed to contribute only six runs, facing 12 balls in the challenging match.

As the game progresses into the 17th over, Captain Dev Khanal and Bipin Khatri have taken charge at the crease, batting at 23 and 31 runs, respectively.

Nepal’s total score stands at 80 runs as they face a stern challenge from the Pakistani bowling attack.

Having won the toss, Nepal had earlier opted to bat first, and the current situation on the field emphasizes the importance of a resilient partnership between the remaining batsmen to set a competitive total against Pakistan in this crucial U19 Cricket World Cup fixture.
