Two girls injured in bear attack



ACHHAM: Two girls were injured when a bear attacked them at Ramaroshan rural municipality -5 in Achham district.

Nineteen-year-old Parbati Shah and Kiran Shah, 20, were attacked by the wild animal when collecting fodder for animals at local Salimkot community forest, said the District Police Office Chief, Deputy Superintendent Santosh Pathak.

According to him, both girls have injuries in several parts of the body and deep laceration in the head.

Kiran is in an unconscious condition while Parbati is in moderate health.

DSP Pathak said preparation has been made for airlifting the two injured girls and sending them to hospital in next district for advanced treatment.
