Ward Chair arrested on charge of cooperatives fraud



KATHMANDU: Ward Chair of Chandragiri municipality-12, Nhuchhe Bahadur Maharjan, has been arrested on the charge of his involvement in the misappropriation of cooperative funds.  He was apprehended by the police today.

He is alleged of embezzling the funds of Thamel-based Hariyali Savings and Credit Cooperatives.

District Police Range Kathmandu’s Spokesperson and Superintendent of Police Nawaraj Adhikari confirmed the arrest of the local representative.
