KATHMANDU: In today’s meeting of the political parties supporting the government, discussions focused on the government’s progress over the past 100 days, current events, and issues of national interest.

The Prime Minister’s Secretariat stated that the meeting, held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, underscored the government’s commitment to democratic principles, the rule of law, good governance, and effective service delivery to the people.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister KP Oli is scheduled to address the achievements of the government at Singha Durbar today at 3 PM, marking the end of its first 100 days.

Coalition partners were informed of this in the meeting.

Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak shared that former Deputy Prime Minister Rabi Lamichhane was arrested during the investigation stemming from a report prepared by the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee on Cooperative Irregularities.

Lekhak emphasized that protests are inappropriate when a judicial investigation is underway in a criminal case.

The coalition parties agreed to issue a joint statement advocating for a fair judicial investigation and the upholding of democratic principles.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Oli stressed the importance of unity among the ruling parties, reaffirming their commitment to democracy and national interests.

He stated that there would be no compromise on protecting national harmony and values, asserting that democracy is the only acceptable form of governance.

“Chaos and unwanted activities are not acceptable,” he stated.

“We are dedicated to empowering the people. Our commitment and determination remain unwavering,” he added.
