Maoist Centre Chair Dahal congratulates newly-elected Sri Lankan President



KATHMANDU: Maoist Centre Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has congratulated Anura Kumara Dissanayake for securing a historic victory in the election to the ninth President of Sri Lanka.

The Maoist Centre Chair took to the social media to extend best wishes to the newly-elected Sri Lankan President and to the alliance under his leadership as well as to his party, the JVP.

“I salute the Sri Lankan people who elected a Marxist leader as the right solution to corruption, economic crisis and geo-political tensions. I have the confidence that the relations between Nepal and Sri Lanka will be further cordial during his term in office,” leader Dahal said.
