Indian PM Modi to visit Nepal soon: Foreign Minister Dr. Rana



KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba has stated that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will soon visit Nepal, following a cordial meeting with Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Oli.

Currently in New York for the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), PM Oli held a bilateral meeting with PM Modi on Sunday at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel.

In a media briefing after the meeting, PM Oli described the discussions as positive.

Attendees included Foreign Minister Rana, chief political advisor to Prime Minister Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sewa Lamsal, and Ambassador Lok Bahadur Thapa from Nepal’s Permanent Mission to the UN. On the Indian side, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Secretary Vikram Misri were present.
