Foreign Minister Rana claims India visit a success



KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) central member Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba has claimed that her recent official visit to India was successful.

During a meeting of the NC central executive committee on Friday, Dr. Rana informed the members about her visit, which took place from August 18-22.

She emphasized that the trip significantly contributed to strengthening goodwill between Nepal and India.

Dr. Rana expressed confidence that the visit had further solidified the friendly, cooperative, and multidimensional relations between the two countries.

“I sensed a positive response from India towards the coalition government formed by the two major political parties,” she noted.

During her visit, the Foreign Minister met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and held bilateral discussions with her Indian counterpart, Dr. S. Jaishankar.

These high-level meetings focused on promoting mutual interests and enhancing bilateral relations.

In the same meeting, Dr. Rana also stressed the importance of further promoting the issue of inclusion within the party and across all state mechanisms.
