Road Division repairs 53 km road



TANAHU: The Road Division Office has repaired 53.54 kilometers of roads over the last fiscal year.

Babita Sharma, an engineer at the Office, stated that periodical maintenance and resealing work on the national highway have been completed with the support of the Road Board Nepal and the World Bank.

During the same period, 8.5 kilometers of roads were paved, surpassing the target of eight kilometers.

Additionally, while the goal was to construct four kilometers of tracks, three and a half kilometers were built.

Sharma also mentioned that eight kilometers of gravel roads were constructed, exceeding the target of 8.5 kilometers.

Engineer Sharma noted that the contract for landslide prevention on the Prithvi Highway, following two major landslides in previous years, is now in its final stages.

The landslide prevention construction at Kokhe Ahale in Gyampesal, Gorkha, has been completed.

The Road Division Office utilized Rs 39 crore out of an allocated budget of Rs 43 crore 47 lakh for capital expenditures in the financial year.

The office achieved 40 percent physical progress and 35 percent financial progress against the allocated budget.

Notably, 100 percent physical progress and 99.4 percent financial progress were achieved for the Khairenitar-Bhimad-Bhumrighat-Kawasoti road project.
